Mike Paplawski, P.Eng. - President / Sponsor and Partner
Michael Paplawski is a Senior Project Engineer with 18 years of experience managing Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls projects in the oil and gas industry in both Western Canada and abroad. He is technically strong, highly motivated, hands-on achiever with proven ability to produce results on a wide range of projects. His technical background has provided him exceptional knowledge of SAGD facilities, gas compression, liquid pipelines and both oil and gas well sites.
Trevor Lamb, P.Eng. - Vice President , Project Manager and Partner
With over twenty four years of experience in the oil and gas industry he started in 1979 working in the field for drilling and service companies. Since graduating in 1989 from the University of Alberta as a Mechanical Engineer he worked in various Atco inter-company positions over nine years, and since then as a Project Engineer, with increasing responsibilities for two EPCM Engineering firms. Mr. Lamb also sits on the CSA Z662 Design Sub-Committee which meets twice a year. He is highly motivated, adaptable, hands-on achiever with proven ability to produce results on a wide range of petroleum engineering duties. His diversified upstream background includes facilities design (Conventional Gas & Oil and SAGD), pipeline design, economics, reservoir, joint venture upstream relationships, Production and Operations.
Scott Wallace, P. Eng. – Lead Process Engineer and Partner
Scott Wallace is a Senior Process Engineer with 19 years of experience. Since graduating in 1990 from the University of Calgary with a Chemical Engineering degree, he has worked with various engineering companies in Calgary and 4 years in Thailand and New Zealand. He has worked on everything from extremely small jobs up to a 200 000 bpd oil battery in Libya. He is extremely versatile and is just as comfortable working on gas projects as heavy oil with his resume reading about equal parts of both. He is considered one of the top SAGD Process Engineers in Alberta.
Art Harms – Lead Pipeline Engineer/Partner
Art Harms graduated from the University of Calgary with a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering in 1982. Art has over 28 years of experience in Western Canada’s oil and gas industry and has worked extensively with a variety of codes, standards and regulations including the CSA Z662, ERCB Pipeline Regulations, ASME, Alberta OH&S General Safety Regulations, and the Safety Codes Act. Art continues to be active in industry, presently serving as the Chairman of CSA’s Operations and System Integrity Sub-committee, as well as serving on CSA’s Construction Sub-committee, the CSA Executive Committee and CSA Technical Committee. He has also served on the Technical Organizing Committee for the 2008 and 2010 International Pipeline Conference in Calgary. Past projects included a 30” hydrogen pipeline in Central Alberta, which included the unique consideration of High Density Polyethylene pipe in this application; a benzene pipeline and numerous sour gas projects in Alberta’s foothills. Over the last several years, Art served in increasingly responsible managerial capacities, responsible for the planning, organization, deployment, monitoring and mentoring of pipeline project management and technical resources, before once again returning to the hands on project execution role that he enjoys.
Peter Strickland – Lead ICE (Instrumentation/Controls/Electrical)/Partner
Peter Strickland is the Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation Lead and a Principal at Three Streams Engineering. He is an Electrical Engineer from the University of Alberta and has 20 years of experience working with large as well as boutique Oil & Gas and specialty engineering firms, fabrication shops and international operations. He has strong technical and hands on experience with all aspects of facility electrical design, control systems design and field commissioning.
